Evening · 90 min
Ninety minutes to put it all down.
The self-care one, and probably the kindest thing you can do for yourself this week. Ninety minutes to put it all down, breathe properly, and reset your nervous system before it takes another seven days off you.
Who it is for
For the end of a week that took everything.
Nobody has to explain themselves at the door, but if you are wondering whether your reason counts, here is what usually walks in.
You look after everyone else
You know what every person in your life needs. You would struggle to say what you need. Saying no still feels dangerous.
Anger with something underneath
Short fuse, flare-ups, disproportionate reactions you regret an hour later. Anger is usually standing in front of something else.
You have gone quiet
Not sad exactly. Just less. Fewer people, fewer plans, less of the small stuff you used to like.
What happens
The whole arc, once, in an evening.
Every session runs the same way, whatever the format. An evening is the whole arc once, start to finish, and the easiest first step.
Breath first: five stages, each doing a different job, at whatever pace is right for you, until the fog clears. Then you go toward whatever is holding, with me alongside, and let go of something out loud. Something may move, or nothing may, and both are ordinary sessions. Then we put something back: you are told, plainly, that you were never broken, and given music, warmth and time lying down with nothing asked of you.
